We can not build our brand simply by sitting in an office. We need to be out there, among people. That is were we can add those subtile dimensions to a brand. Make people relate to our brand with emotions, not just with their logic mind.
If you have employees, they will build your brand in all their meetings. They are your tentacles to your clients. The way they speak and act is essential to how you will succeed.
Spontaneous meetings are just as important as the arranged ones. Enjoy them.

The role of a leader
I think that the role of leaders will change dramatically during the coming years. The bureaucratic organisations will turn into more project- and goaloriented groups, where the name of the leaders may vary depending on the topic.
There are many good leaders. There are many bad chiefs. People who work for bad chiefs do rarely achieve as much as they have the potential to. They are stopped by silly reasons.
Working in an environment where leaders change depending on the issue, or where leaders have a more human role than just being a businessowner, is far more effective than the contrary. And people with good competence will not be stopped by chiefs who have a position but less competence or the wrong attitude.
Go for a new kind of leadership, where people grow.

Contrasts
The students I work with at Berghs SoC are focusing on contrasts when it comes to letting people know about the best of nature.
I just experienced those contrasts. Yesterday I climbed to the top of a snowy mountain on skis, spending hours to get there, loving every single ski-step despite some very steep slopes and tired muscles. This evening I returned to a blooming city, where people dressed as if it was already summer and idled on outdoor-bars.
No contrast - no life.

It is easy
I went onboard the subwaytrain from the city back home today. Usually you don´t notice the drivers´voice as he or she tells you that it´s time to step onboard and that the doors will close.Tonight was a special night. The driver seemed to be a great entertainer. He delivered those simple messages with an extra touch and some extra information about each stop. I could have stayed on that train all the way to Norsborg, just to hear his messages.
It can be so easy to brighten up the moment for other people and to build your personal brand at the same time. I certainly wanted to see who that driver was and give him thumbs up for those great messages.

Shoes to the children
And while we´re talking shoes - take a look at Tom´s shoes. They will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need, if you buy a pair from them. One for one. I´d like a pair of these:

People want to be a part of something that is good. I´d say that Tom´s Shoes are good.
